Our mission to help people has always extended far beyond life insurance. A big part of our corporate culture is giving back to our community through volunteer fundraising, charities and scholarships. We’re proud of our ongoing charitable efforts. 2021 highlights include:
Annual Charitable Giving Campaign Each year our employees set out to raise money for nonprofits while teaming up with LGA for in-house events that benefit sponsored charities. Along with our company match, we raised more than $818,149 in 2021 for nonprofits — thanks a million (almost!), team.
Some of our local sponsored charities have included:
Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County | Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County | America’s VetDogs | Second Chances Garage | ThanksUSA | Heartly House
NAILBA Charitable Foundation We’re a proud charter member of the National Association of Independent Life Insurance Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) Charitable Foundation, which
supports local charities throughout the United States. LGA makes annual donations to the foundation — over the past few years, we've donated over $200,000.
Life HappensSince 2019, we’ve sponsored a Life Lessons scholarship, which recognizes students for their perseverance following the loss of a parent or guardian with little or no life insurance coverage; in 2021, increased our scholarship amount to $20,000.
We are humbled by the generosity of the Legal & General America employees. Legal & General America is an incredible partner. Now more than ever, we need to support our children and families through this challenging year. Investments in the children are investments in our future.
