Bryan Newcombe

VP, Secretary and General Counsel

Bryan Newcombe is the Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel for the Legal & General America Companies. He joined LGA in 1998, and his career includes over 28 years’ experience in professional and executive positions in the life insurance industry with extensive experience in litigation, capital markets, reinsurance, structured finance, and capital management transactions. He serves as a member of the LGA and LGRA pricing committees, the Benefits Administrative Committee, the Risk and Compliance Committee, and he leads the Company’s Complaint Committee. He previously served as an attorney with the law firm of Cantilo, Maisel & Hubbard in Austin, Texas, where his practice focused on the representation of insurance regulators in rehabilitation and liquidation matters as well as the conversion of a Blue Cross and Blue Shield company. Bryan holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. He also serves on the board of a captive reinsurer and as Chairman of the Maryland Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Corporation.
